Join us for the Saturday Morning Breakfast
If you want to help out on Saturday morning just meet us at 7:30 am. If you are wanting to join us please schedule your volunteer Saturday with us using the sign up form
@ Legacy Wesleyan Church
502 N Walnut St.
Colorado Springs, CO 80905.
You can help set up tables, unload vans, distribute items, talk, pray at this community event. Please join us and help serve our neighbors in need.
No special training is required. Unloading and setting up tables and most of the things we do are easy. We ask that you be careful when lifting and cautious on slippery surfaces. If you would like to work the grill you would work closely with a volunteer cook first.
Do not directly give money out, we believe in handing out items that will be used to make day-to-day life on the street easier. Do not let anyone touch you or hug you if you do not want them to. Do not feel obligated to take someone home or meet them outside of the breakfast.
GIVE A DONATION
We provide counseling and connections with other community-based services to help people move towards safe and stable housing.
It takes many contact points between service providers and those who need help before someone will step forward to ask for help.

We are a 5019(c)(3) non-profit; your donations are tax deductible.
Through our website, we are able to accept donations through PayPal.
We can accept payments through Facebook messenger.
We are an all-volunteer organization with low overhead. This means that donations are being put to use buying food, and clothes that we give out freely.
Tell your church or small group and see if they would like to get involved. If your group feel like this is something God is leading you toward then schedule Saturday morning breakfast with us and see what He might do through you and in you. Please pray for the homeless ministry.
How You Can Help
Serving breakfast or handing out clothes is where most people like to volunteer because they make contact with those in need. Our motto is, “A Hand Up Not A Hand-Out” We are a mobile mission that serves the homeless population in Colorado Springs.
We set up 7:30 am at:
Legacy Wesleyan Church
502 N Walnut St.
Colorado Springs, CO 80905
and hand out clothes and serve a cooked meal. We are in need of volunteers to help distribute items. We accept donations such as boots, jackets, and other clothing items to share with those in need. is at the church every Saturday feeding breakfast to those who are living on the streets
On Saturday we need a person to set up the music table. You will be trained on how to connect the amplifier, mixer, mp3, speaker, and microphone. We play Christian music, pray over the meal, and provide a short sermon during the breakfast.
When someone would like to have clothes picked up we need volunteers to go get the clothes that they wish to donate to us.
We regularly shop at three to five different stores. We could use a volunteer to shop for us and deliver the clothes to Fountain or bring them to Church on a Saturday morning. Additionally, yard sale shopping can be productive finding clothes to hand out at the park.
Your church, business, or organization might be a good choice for a clothing drive. If possible, we would request a small team of four to five people to sort the donations. At this time we are unable to handle small shirts and jackets, dress clothes and shoes, or children’s clothing.
We need a fundraising professional person that can approach churches and businesses around Colorado Springs looking for donations. We are also looking into writing applications to receive grants. If you have experience raising funds we could use your help. Also, we have an information table that can be set up at volunteer fairs. We have fliers and business cards that can be handed out to invite individuals and businesses to donations and get involved as volunteers.
We need a Manager to oversee the setup, volunteer coordination, tear down, and reorder. This job requires that you be there Saturday mornings to manage the breakfast, interact with people to see what items need to be reordered. We also need someone with the ability to communicate well with businesses, churches, foundations in order to request grants or new partnerships.
